Today, we guard ourselves against an invisible virus by using and disposing of many implements. Humans are focusing on the disaster of the present without thinking about the damage we are doing to our future. Time will pass and we will suffer the consequences.

The concept of the sculpture is to show the result of the actions that we take today, and how they will impact our ecosystem. I encourage the public to stand in the middle of the sculpture, where they can see the beauty of nature; behind them, the ocean is located — the ocean where we are throwing away our waste. I imagine the location of the sculpture to be in Barranco, next to the ocean, which we currently view as a “clean” place. However, will it continue to be this way? That will depend on us.

En la actualidad, nos cuidamos de un virus invisible usando y desechando muchos implementos para protegernos de él. Los seres humanos prestamos atención al desastre del presente sin pensar que daño estamos haciendo en nuestro futuro. El tiempo transcurre y sufrimos las consecuencias en el lugar donde vivimos.

El concepto de la escultura es mostrar el resultado de las acciones que tomemos hoy, si cuidamos o no nuestro ecosistema. En la escultura, la persona debe ubicarse en un punto medio, donde podemos ver la belleza de la naturaleza y cuando se mira hacia atrás se podrá recordar que estamos contaminado desechando residuos a nuestro mar. La escultura se encuentra ubicada en la placita de la bajada de baños en Barranco. Este lugar se encuentra al frente del mar y, actualmente, la vemos "limpia", sin residuos visibles a la distancia, pero la pregunta es si seguirá así en algunos años.
